Installing Hugo
Although COLONY's repositories come pre-configured you will still need the Hugo Framework installed on your local machine. This is a one-off installation and only needs to be completed the first time you work with Hugo (or if COLONY updates to a newer version in the future).
Instructions on how to install Hugo can be found here.
Learning Hugo
Hugo offers a fully featured but easy to learn tool for development and there is comprehensive documentation on Hugo's site. However, one of the best ways to get started with Hugo is a series of YouTube videos from Mike Dane, which give an excellent overview of the features and basic principles.
Additional Support
Additional support can be found in our Components Library which provides customisable code snippets of the most commonly used functionality.
The COLONY team are also well versed in working with Hugo and are always on hand to support with any queries.
